So what is the problem with Melt & Pour soaps? With a
melt and pour soap you have no visibility into the ingredients that are used. By starting with the raw fats we can
be certain what the soap is made of.
Why no animal products, preservatives or soap base etc. Well, we think that you should know what you are putting
on your skin. With soap base, the raw ingredients are unknown. With animal products, the pharmaceuticals used to
grow the animal or the chemicals in the feed could find there way into the fats of the animal. Additionally, the
animal fats can go rancid and the useir may support the unnecessary slaughter of animals for the tallow or lanolin.
Why pure essential oils? Many and possibly most retail soaps use fragrances that can contain natural or man made
chemicals. Some of these can cause irritation, or burning and in some cases mixing them (say shampoo and soap) can
give you that strong unpleasant amonia smell. Essential oils must be used with care in some cases but also have
additional healthful properties and you know what you are getting.
