Why Parffin instead of Soy or something else? Quite simply, paraffin works great for pillar candles. It comes in a variety of melt temperatures and there is a tremendous knowledge base that exists for paraffin and when burned properly has very little or no soot or smoke. Why lead free wicks? Well, no one really needs to breath in lead vapor. It is a known toxin and is especially damaging to developing brains (kids!). We use all cotton wicks or cotton with paper cores so you are not inhaling metal vapor. Why infuse the candle with scent? Because people want a candle that smells great when burning regardless if it is the first day they burn it or if it is the last day they burn it! Why dont you make those trendy floating candles or holiday theme candles? Our goal is to make candles that are not trendy but are beautiful to look at, smell terrific and are practical to burn. Candles shaped like Jesus or Santa can be quite decorative but dont usually burn well because of the odd shape. The added paint or colorants typically increase the smokiness and sootiness of the candle as well. |
